Builders Beta is aimed at aspiring novice and hobbyist game developers who are invited to build from scratch or remix other people’s creations using the zero-code toolset that powers _EVERYWHERE_.

_EVERYWHERE_ is a place where you can unleash your creativity to build, remix, and play with others in a vast connected world. Builders Beta is the next phase of testing with a specific focus on the building functionality provided by the UGC toolset and is our first step in shaping this future together with our community.  

Anyone with an idea can now create amazing games and immersive experiences using ARCADIA, our free to play no code required powerful building tools, self-publishing system, and library of assets.  

Our innovative Stamp system is also fundamental to the limitless creative experience. Stamps are completely free virtual items that can be whole levels, gameplay components, moving objects, enemies, puzzles, or simple props. These can be shared with the community or kept private. When shared they can be used in the original design or can be edited and reshaped to take on a whole new purpose.   

For the start of Builders Beta, Build A Rocket Boy and its partners have provided a wide range of content for builders to use, play and remix to kickstart their own creative projects. Partnerships include the studios Gamefam, Dubit, Talewind, Retro Shrimp, DryCereal Games, Sovereign Games and EndoWorlds, and individuals such as Emma Nicole, DV Plays, Sarah Kendall, LotusCracker, Choum, Mara Blind and Ducain23. 

Build A Rocket Boy developers will also provide a series of tutorials and educational workshops to ignite the community and share the joy of building together with ARCADIA.

Funding round, led by RedBird Capital Partners, will support Build A Rocket Boy’s commercialization as it launches its immersive gaming platform EVERYWHERE™ and AAA game MindsEye™

Build A Rocket Boy, a leading independent gaming and entertainment company, has today announced that it has closed on an over $110 million Series D fundraising round. The new capital will enable Build A Rocket Boy to launch its three flagship products: immersive gaming and entertainment open world platform EVERYWHERE, AAA game series MindsEye, and suite of easy-to-use UGC design tools called ARCADIA. The Company is led by video game industry veteran Leslie Benzies. Build A Rocket Boy plans to launch the highly anticipated EVERYWHERE and the first episode of MindsEye in the near future. 

The round was led by RedBird Capital Partners, a private investment firm with an extensive track record investing in the media & entertainment, sports and experiential consumer ecosystems. Julia Wittlin, a Partner at RedBird Capital, will join Build A Rocket Boy’s board of directors. The financing round also had strong support from existing and new investors, including Galaxy Interactive, NetEase Games, Endeavor, Alignment Growth, Woodline Partners LP, GTAM Partners, and others.

Our office, nestled in the iconic Leith area of the city, well known for its beautiful shore and home to many businesses, bars and restaurants – is a vibrant and bustling part of the picturesque Scottish capital.

Situated in the former Leith Corn Exchange and originally built in 1861 as an open market hall. At the time Leith was the hub of the grain trade in Scotland and this building was at its epicentre.

We have recently completed renovations turning it into a modern games studio, beautifully lit by natural sunlight and providing an open, airy space - allowing our ever expanding team to openly collaborate as we embark on our maiden project – EVERYWHERE.

### Resume

- Make sure you resume lists all relevant experience and provide a short explanation of your responsibilities. What project were you mainly working on and what main tasks were assigned to you?
- It’s also important to be truthful on your resume. If there are gaps, a short explanation can avoid uncomfortable questions later. 
- Be concise, and straightforward. Your resume needs to be inviting to read, so make sure it has a simple layout with a logical history of your experience and education listed. 

### Motivation

- We encourage you to write a motivation (cover) letter, even if it’s just one paragraph! 
- A motivation letter should simply include the reasons why you’re applying for the job and studio. 
- Avoid copy and pasting old motivation letters because Recruiters can see right through it. Make sure it’s original and relevant to both the position you’re applying for and the studio! 

### Portfolio
- Dev’s like to show off their work and we highly appreciate and value if you show case it to us. However, make sure to follow some base rules. If you’d like to showcase a code sample, make sure the code is in the language the position requires. C++ or C# are our favorites and LUA for scripting, but we also appreciate python now and then. 
- If you’re applying for an art position, make sure your art style is relevant to the role, finalize your art/reel and update it if necessary before you apply. 
- Make sure you share your most recent work and if you have nothing to share, it’s okay! Take some time to come up with something and impress us! If you’ve got it, then flaunt it!

### Interviewing

- If you make it to interview stage, this is your time to shine. Either a lead or one of our Talent Acquisition Partner’s will meet you in the first interview. This meeting is to get to know you and understand your motivations, as well as gaining a better understanding of how your experience matches the requirements of the position. It’s highly important you prepare for this interview. Preparation means dedication and it will impress the interviewer. Read about Build a Rocket Boy’s origin and history, research what you can about our project, check who works with us and who your potential team consists of and prepare some questions that you want to ask the interviewer as well! 
- If you’re having a video interview, make sure your background is tidy or change your background to something more serene. Make sure your camera’s angle is aimed at your face and at an appropriate distance. 
- Check your camera, microphone/headphones, and network before entering the call to make sure there are no interruptions. Most importantly enjoy the experience and learn from it!
