Builders Beta is aimed at aspiring novice and hobbyist game developers who are invited to build from scratch or remix other people’s creations using the zero-code toolset that powers _EVERYWHERE_.

_EVERYWHERE_ is a place where you can unleash your creativity to build, remix, and play with others in a vast connected world. Builders Beta is the next phase of testing with a specific focus on the building functionality provided by the UGC toolset and is our first step in shaping this future together with our community.  

Anyone with an idea can now create amazing games and immersive experiences using ARCADIA, our free to play no code required powerful building tools, self-publishing system, and library of assets.  

Our innovative Stamp system is also fundamental to the limitless creative experience. Stamps are completely free virtual items that can be whole levels, gameplay components, moving objects, enemies, puzzles, or simple props. These can be shared with the community or kept private. When shared they can be used in the original design or can be edited and reshaped to take on a whole new purpose.   

For the start of Builders Beta, Build A Rocket Boy and its partners have provided a wide range of content for builders to use, play and remix to kickstart their own creative projects. Partnerships include the studios Gamefam, Dubit, Talewind, Retro Shrimp, DryCereal Games, Sovereign Games and EndoWorlds, and individuals such as Emma Nicole, DV Plays, Sarah Kendall, LotusCracker, Choum, Mara Blind and Ducain23. 

Build A Rocket Boy developers will also provide a series of tutorials and educational workshops to ignite the community and share the joy of building together with ARCADIA.

Funding round, led by RedBird Capital Partners, will support Build A Rocket Boy’s commercialization as it launches its immersive gaming platform EVERYWHERE™ and AAA game MindsEye™

Build A Rocket Boy, a leading independent gaming and entertainment company, has today announced that it has closed on an over $110 million Series D fundraising round. The new capital will enable Build A Rocket Boy to launch its three flagship products: immersive gaming and entertainment open world platform EVERYWHERE, AAA game series MindsEye, and suite of easy-to-use UGC design tools called ARCADIA. The Company is led by video game industry veteran Leslie Benzies. Build A Rocket Boy plans to launch the highly anticipated EVERYWHERE and the first episode of MindsEye in the near future. 

The round was led by RedBird Capital Partners, a private investment firm with an extensive track record investing in the media & entertainment, sports and experiential consumer ecosystems. Julia Wittlin, a Partner at RedBird Capital, will join Build A Rocket Boy’s board of directors. The financing round also had strong support from existing and new investors, including Galaxy Interactive, NetEase Games, Endeavor, Alignment Growth, Woodline Partners LP, GTAM Partners, and others.

Build A Rocket Boy, has today released the official reveal trailer for EVERYWHERE and announced that it will begin Closed Alpha testing soon.

Closed Alpha will be a limited technical test on PC, by invitation only, designed to test the systems and get early feedback from players. Announcing MindsEye™

Our talented team here at Build A Rocket Boy is ever expanding with the needs of our first project Everywhere, and with that comes the need for more space to grow.

We are excited to announce that in 2023 we will be opening an office in Montpellier. 

“I am thrilled to have these fantastic industry veterans heading up our Montpellier studio,” said Everywhere Game Director, Leslie Benzies. “The talent in the Montpellier area that has been joining us over the past year has taken Everywhere to a whole new level. Putting down roots and opening an office in France will dramatically expand our footprint and is the next natural step in Build A Rocket Boy’s evolution.” 

We are looking to the future of BARB and having this talent centre for developers based in France will be key to the continued growth and development of the company.

Former Crytek Hungary studio head, Kristoffer Waardahl, and a group of veteran developers are joining Leslie Benzies’ startup to create ‘Everywhere’. The team draws from a wealth of experience developing AAA titles as well as mobile and VR gaming. The new studio is opening in Budapest, Hungary. 

“We are very excited to be working alongside such talented individuals who bring with them a wealth of experience as we build Everywhere.” says Benzies.
